Dental Radiology Treatment is a complementary method to clinical examination that we can use in diagnosis and treatment to define disease, diagnosis and treatment criteria of teeth and surrounding tissues, and to evaluate anomalies and developmental defects.
Dental radiographs provide a two-dimensional view of three-dimensional destruction. Dental tomography, on the other hand, is a method that uses X-rays to help obtain images consisting of thin sections and volume, allowing the object to be evaluated to be seen more clearly by defocusing the images outside the area of interest. Dental tomography allows the diagnosis of dental diseases and planning of treatment simulations.
It allows viewing of areas not visible on panoramic and periapical x-rays. It allows for a more detailed diagnosis compared to Digital Radiography.
It allows making accurate treatment plans with reduced risk of complications. Detailed examination and measurements of soft tissue and bone tissue can be made.
